He frantically kissed her corpse. Kissed it once, twice, three times, four times, five…

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Tears were rolling down his cheeks now, sticky desaturated, quick and hot. He dropped his wand and held her body. Held it like the closer and tighter he held her would make her come back.

He felt a hand on his back and snapped in their direction, his vision foggy with tears. “Wwhat the fuck do you wwant!?” he choked.

“Eridan…? I heard crying, whatth up…?”

“S-She’s dead, Sol. She’s fuckin dead. Dead, dead, dead.” He repeated as if assuring himself.

“FF…?”

“Feferi… S-She’s dead… I…” he inhaled. “I killed her, Sol. I-It’s all my fuckin fault…”

“Why?”

“I wwas angry an she wwas there an… an… I didn’t think, Sol, I d-didn’t think, I’m an impulsivve fuckin asshole, Sol… She wwas mad too, really mad… She died hatin me… She hates me, Sol…”

Sollux’s arms felt their way around Eridan’s waist. “Are you thorry?” he asked.

Eridan gulped and nodded. “So sorry it hurts… It really really hurts, Sol…”

Sollux hugged him and rested his chin on Eridan’s shoulder. “Then itth okay…”

“S-Sorry about blindin you…”

“Itth fine.”

“Y-You’re just sayin that…”

“No really, I forgive you. You thound thorry enough. You were crying pretty hard.”

“Don’t tell anyone…”

“Why not? You have every right to cry over thith”

“But… Soool…” he sniffed.

“Itth okay.”

“Okay…”

It took a bit of coaxing for Eridan to step away from her body, but eventually they left.
